Karnataka Govt Transfers 3 IAS Officers in Bengaluru: Key Changes in E-Governance and Commercial Taxes

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Karnataka government has transferred three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to key positions in Bengaluru, focusing on e-Governance and Commercial Taxes. The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) issued the transfer orders on Tuesday.

Bhoobalan T Assigned Additional Charge of EDCS

Bhoobalan T (IAS: 2015: KN), currently CEO of the Centre for E-Governance, Bengaluru, has been given additional responsibility as Director of Electronic Delivery of Citizen Services (EDCS) under DPAR (e-Governance). He succeeds Aparna Ramesh in the EDCS role. This dual responsibility reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening digital service delivery in the state.

Aparna Ramesh Takes Over as Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes

Aparna Ramesh (IAS: 2021: KN), formerly Director of EDCS, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis Wing), Bengaluru. Her expertise in governance and analytics is expected to enhance efficiency in tax operations and public service delivery. She replaces Kanishka in this role.

Kanishka Moved to Commercial Taxes Enforcement Wing

Kanishka (IAS: 2021: KN), previously Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis), has now been posted as Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Bengaluru. He takes over from Sri Chandrashekhar Nayaka, who has been relieved following his central deputation. Kanishka will now focus on enforcement and compliance within the tax department.
