Donald Philips Wahlang

Donald Phillips Wahlang, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1993 batch from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, currently serves as Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya. He assumed charge on 1 August 2022 and concurrently holds responsibilities as State Vigilance Commissioner and Chairman of the Administrative Reforms Department.

Wahlang is a native of Shillong. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Kolkata. His educational foundation, coupled with a strong connection to the region, has shaped his approach to governance and public service.
